Changes to your Employment Contract
Has your employer recently changed your employment contract?
If your employer has changed your employment contract they may have changed whom you report to, your duties, or maybe they just added a requirement that you abide by the new employee handbook.
As soon as any changes are made to the employment contract there is a need for your employer to provide you with consideration. Consideration in the employment context usually involves the mutual promises of work for wages and benefit. This means that your employer should provide you with some kind of wage increase or benefits if there is a change to your employment contract.
You should know that as an employee you are not required to accept the position on the new employment contract at the same salary and that any significant changes made to the employment contract should be done so with some form of consideration.
